Hello Everyone,

Thank you for joining this online community to keep in touch with the Triangle Urban League YPs. The community has been quiet - I hope that you explore, discuss, and take action on initiatives you find in this community. Although the Triangle Urban League is experiencing a major organizational transition, the work of the Urban League is not finished and we need "all hands on deck" to accomplish the mission of empowering people to secure economic self-reliance, parity, power and civil rights. You can find more information throughout this online community but a few quick links I would like you to check out include:
* National Urban League (NUL) - www.nul.org
* 2009 NUL National Conference Webcasts - nul.org/2009annualconference.html
* Urban League of the Central Carolinas (Charlotte) - www.urbanleaguecc.org
* Winston-Salem Urban League - www.wsurban.org

Please participate by starting a discussion, making new contacts, developing partnerships, advocating for and taking action on behalf of those who can not do it for themselves so that we can collaboratively make the world (or at least the Triangle) a better place.

BLINK

Go and make disciples,

The Holy Bible reads.

But a love for the one true God

Is what the world really needs.

Senseless wars are being waged

Because we all want to be right.

But righteousness isn’t achieved through

Selfishness and might.

In the world that I envision,

We serve the common good.

Enough with the bickering,

Your brother, your sister, behaving like a hood.

We should boldly be going

Where no man has gone… Continue

Coolness of Autumn.

But as the seasons change,

So do you.

You think.

You feel.

You do.

You ask yourself,

“Who am I?”

“What is my purpose

In life?

When you ask… Continue
